There are two new drugs that may help prevent migraines instead of treating symptoms after they kick in.

Doctors say the two new drugs target a protein that's been linked to migraines.

One drug helped sufferers cut back on headaches by 66-percent and the second had similar effects but also caused some problems like stomach pain and respiratory infections.

Experts say those findings are promising but larger studies will help confirm the results.
