The facility, located at 860 Hard Road, will offer apartments for seniors, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and veterans 55 years of age and older.

The new community will include 46 one-bedroom and four two-bedroom units. Five of those units will be fully accessible for persons with physical disabilities including roll-in showers, two units will be fully adapted for persons with visual or hearing disabilities; and all other units will be adaptable. Officials say 15 units will be set-aside for seniors with physical or developmental disabilities

The new facility is expected to be open in Spring 2015.
