A Hamlin man is facing charges after sheriff’s deputies say he was drunk and left his two-year-old daughter home alone while he picked up his girlfriend who had been arrested for DWI.
Jason Moyer, 27, of Hamlin, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and DWI.
Sheriff’s deputies say Moyer’s girlfriend, 22-year-old Jessica Burtsell of Henrietta, called him saying she had been arrested for DWI and was in need of a ride home. Sheriff’s deputies say Moyer left his two-year-old daughter home alone sleeping while he went to pick up his girlfriend. When Moyer arrived, deputies determined that he was intoxicated.
When deputies drove Moyer’s girlfriend home, they found the two-year-old home alone.
Moyer was released on an appearance ticket and is due back in court at a later date.
