Police ID man shot and killed on Genesee Street

Rochester Police have released the identity of the man shot and killed Tuesday afternoon.

Police say they were called to the 700 block of Genesee Street for a shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they found 49-year-old Ronald Stern of Holley dead from an apparent gunshot wound. A second man, 47-year-old Earl Cartwright of Kent, was also shot. He has since been treated and released.

No one is in custody at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
