Do you depend on a baby monitor to keep your baby safe? Some of these could actually have the opposite effect.

Summer Infant is recalling more than 800,000 monitors after reports that the rechargeable batteries in the monitor could overheat.

A least 22 people have reported smoke damage from the batteries. Officials say the batteries also could pose a burn hazard.

The monitors were sold at retailers from February 2010 through 2012.
