A convenient program that could make mailing a letter even easier for you has postal workers ready to rally against an office superstore.
Later today, mail handlers from across the area will meet outside the Staples store in Irondequoit to protest the postal service installing official postal products and mailing services in the office chain.
The U.S.P.S. says the program is the next step in expanding postal service access while members of the National Association of Letter Carriers say it's a threat to their jobs and privatizes mail services.
Today's rally starts at 5:30 p.m. outside the Staples store on East Ridge Road.
