Police release name of man wanted for Chase Bank robbery

Rochester Police have released the name of a man who robbed a bank on Portland Avenue Tuesday afternoon. They also released another picture of him.

The robbery happened at the Chase Bank on Portland Avenue around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday. 

Police say 57-year-old Thomas A. Visconte entered the bank and passed a note to the teller, threatening the use of a gun. Police say Visconte fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.  

Police say Visconte is heavyset with short gray hair and a mustache. Police say, at the time of the robbery, he was wearing a maroon sweatshirt, maroon pants, a Buffalo Bills hat and black rimmed glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
