Thursday was “Take Your Son or Daughter to Work” Day and members of a United Way group celebrated by bringing a children’s author to Rochester.

Elissa Brent Weissman spoke at the Rochester Museum and Science Center Thursday morning. She read “The Short Seller”, one of her works aimed at children between eight and 12-years-old.

The Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Greater Rochester brought Weissman to town.
