News10NBC continues to track Wednesday’s deadly fire at a home on Rochester’s northeast side.
Firefighters pulled the body of a man out of the home on Hudson Avenue near Wilkins Street just before noon Wednesday. Two women were also inside the house and survived.
Reggie Grimes was in his 50’s and was pulled from the fire. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Grimes was found on the first floor of the home. The doors and windows of the home have been boarded up.
Fire investigators say their investigation at the scene is over, but they are still looking into what happened. Investigators don't know what caused the fire, but now some people are asking if it may have been set to cover another crime.
Investigators are waiting for a toxicologist report to come back and they are also analyzing evidence pulled from the house Wednesday. They say while there is no clear sign that a crime took place for the fire, right now, they aren't ruling anything out.
