Emergency crews were called to the scene of a school bus crash where we are told a vehicle hit the bus and then took off.
An ambulance was called to the scene on Clifford Avenue and North Street Thursday afternoon. No one was hurt. Some of the elementary students were moved to another bus.
News10NBC spoke with a mom, who arrived at the crash, because she was worried about her son.
Katherine Jenkins-Barks, parent, said, “I'm angry, my son could've been hurt. He could've been killed and I think they should have a system in place to notify parents right away.”
Some of the students went to School 50. The District's Transportation department immediately called parents to notify them of the accident. The district says parents may have picked up their children out of concern, however, it is its process to provide alternate transportation.
News10NBC has a call into the Rochester Police Department to find out information about the other driver.
