It's an issue that's addressed year-round but today marks the end of a nearly month-long push to raise awareness about racism.

There are several events going on throughout the community today to wrap up the "Stand Against Racism" campaign.

The YWCA, which kicked off the campaign, hosted a breakfast and panel discussion this morning at the Rochester Plaza Hotel.

YWCA CEO Dara Richardson-Heron said, “Sometimes we just sit back and we don't say anything so one of the things we can all do as individuals is if we see racism happening, or inequality happening whenever or wherever it is, we can speak up."

This is the first year for the breakfast. We’re told more than 400 people turned out for the event.
