Rochester officials and local students will celebrate a partnership with Rochester’s first international sister city, Rennes, France.

Today, students from Nazareth’s Franco-American choir will perform a special concert in City Hall. It’s part of a larger memorial to the upcoming 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion which led to the liberation of Rennes.

Local veterans will be in attendance including the crew of the Geneseo Warplane Museum’s flagship C47 troop transport, Whiskey 7.

Whiskey 7 departs from the Geneseo War Plane Museum on May 15 for anniversary celebrations in France.
