Going bald to show support for the fight against childhood cancer. On Sunday, people gathered at Micky Finn’s in Victor to help raise money for childhood cancer research and shave some heads.

The Saint Baldrick’s Foundation hosted the event, and Dr. Lauren Brucker, who works with children at the Galisano Children’s Hospital, said the decision to shave your head is easy once you understand what you’re doing it for.

“We rely heavily on that kind of charitable funding to be able to hopefully continue to improve our outcomes and be able to do more for children with cancer, preventing cancer, treating cancer and making it better by supporting them through it,” said Dr. Brucker.
