A man handcuffed, face down on a sidewalk called out to Buffalo Police officers, who are subduing him to please stop. It's a shocking video posted on social media. It started as a traffic stop and ended with claims of police brutality in Buffalo.

John Willet claims he was slapped and kicked by Buffalo Police officers. In addition, late Monday afternoon, six police officers were placed on administrative leave. And while we don't know yet who recorded this video, the police commissioner said this video isn't the only one out there.

The incident happened at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday at the corner of Ontario and Philadelphia Streets in the city of Buffalo. The video shows police officers surrounding John Willet, lying on the ground. At one point, you hear Willet yelling for them to stop.  Then you see someone throw a punch and then kick the man.

The Buffalo police commissioner, Daniel Derenda, spoke out Monday. He would not comment about the video or what led to police pulling Willet's vehicle over.

Daniel Derenda said, “The Buffalo Police Department does not condone or tolerate inappropriate behavior and will take whatever actions are necessary once we come to a conclusion. 99 .9 percent of our police officers every day do the right thing. They put their lives on the line for the citizens of the community. Bad actions of a few should not tarnish their badges.”

The commissioner wouldn't give out a lot of details. He did say Willet has been interviewed by internal affairs and that the FBI has been contacted. Then he was asked if any city cameras captured what happened. He would only say they do have other video of the incident.
