A local Red Cross volunteer will head to Little Rock, Arkansas on Friday to help with the storm recovery. Ferris Todd will head to the storm ravaged area at 11:30 a.m. Todd is the sixth area volunteer to be deployed to Arkansas.

Earlier this week, severe weather caused tornados to rip through the Midwest and Deep South, with Arkansas seeing some of the worst damage. However, residents say they plan to stay and rebuild. The entire storm system is blamed for at least 35 deaths.
