On Sunday, firefighters from across our area and the world are celebrating International Firefighters' Day. It's a holiday to celebrate, honor and support the brave work done by firefighters everywhere.

As part of today's celebrations, the Victor and Fisher Fire Departments will be hosting a benefit barbecue at the Thirsty Turtle on Route 96 in Victor. That event will feature food, live music and a beer tasting courtesy of the Rohrbach Brewing Company.

That event runs from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. today; tickets cost $12 and proceeds go to help out both fire departments.
