Police are investigating a bank robbery in Marion, Wayne County.

State Police say a man walked into the M&T Bank on North Main Street Monday afternoon and demanded money. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 585-398-4100.

The robbery prompted a nearby elementary school to be put on lockout. School had already been dismissed for the day, but school officials say late busses were sent around the back of the school to leave instead of in front. The school also put a call out to parents alerting them of this and that if they saw any suspicious activity, they were to call police.
