Jim Kelly is fighting for his life. Each time he has a message for the public, he thanks the fans.
The fans could be thanking him soon for keeping the Bills in Buffalo. Kelly's brother and attorney met with Donald Trump last week to discuss the possibility of partnering to purchase the Bills.
For years, Kelly has voiced his desires to keep the team in Buffalo. Last month, Trump came out and said he will make a push to buy the franchise. Trump has called Kelly a good friend and Jim stayed at one of Trump's New York City properties while undergoing cancer treatment in April.
On Monday morning, Senator Chuck Schumer spoke with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, both advocates of keeping the team in western New York.
The Bills could be sold as soon as next month.
