A Rochester man was seriously injured in an overnight shooting.

Police say were called to Cleon Street between Norton Street and Avenue D around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday for the report of a shooting.

Investigators say a suspect drove up near the victim, 48-year-old Derek Wallace of Rochester, and shot at him several times. He was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of two gunshot wounds. Police say his injuries are considered serious and potentially life-threatening.

Officers say there aren't any suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call 911.
