Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies have found the man they say assaulted his girlfriend on Macedon Center Road at Wakeman Road in Fairport Wednesday afternoon.

Late Wednesday night, sheriff's deputies say East Rochester Police arrested 35-year-old Donald Hinchman.

Sheriff's deputies say Hinchman hit his girlfriend with a tire pressure gauge and attempted to stab her with a steak knife after they got in an argument while they were driving. Sheriff’s deputies then say Hinchman pushed his girlfriend out of the car and drove away. State Police found the unoccupied car on Route 104 in Wayne County.
