Friday’s heat did cause health concerns for some people at the Lilac Festival.

Rural/Metro Ambulance crews were at Highland Park, helping people suffering from heat exhaustion and dehydration.

Rich Garrett, Rural/Metro, said, "A lot of them were feeling very dehydrated, very lethargic, sort of run down. A lot of the same type of stuff you'd feel with the common flu, the same type of symptoms, things you'll have after a couple days of the flu.”
