SUNY Oswego Police are warning students about heroin that's circulating around the city after one student has died and two others were hospitalized, according to our affiliate.

An alert was sent out Saturday morning via the NY Alert Messaging System warning about the heroin asking anyone with information to call city police at (315)343-1212 or campus police at (315)213-5555.

Our Syracuse affiliate WSTM says the person who died lived on campus, but the other two lived off-campus.

Families of SUNY Oswego students can call (315)312-3214 for updates and information from noon to midnight, both today and tomorrow.
