A western New York native was one of the three passengers aboard the hot air balloon that burst into flames in Virginia Friday night.

Natalie Lewis, from North Buffalo, is still missing after the hot air balloon she was riding in drifted into a power line and caught on fire.

Her parents issued a statement on Saturday: “The search continues for our beloved daughter, and we remain hopeful and ask for your continued prayers.”

Lewis is a 2011 graduate of the University of Richmond where she now serves as the director of basketball operation for the women’s basketball team.

Searchers in Virginia have found debris in a nearby field, but they have not been able to find the basket portion of the balloon.

The bodies of the other two passengers have been discovered.
