Man hits woman with car near Lilac Festival

A Greece man was arrested near the Lilac Festival after he hit a woman while trying to flee from police.

According to police, 51-year-old David Dispirito was seen driving erratically near the festival entrance Saturday evening. Officers say they tried to stop him on foot, but Dispirito drove away and struck a 95-year-old Henrietta woman who was walking to her car.

The woman suffered a broken, right ankle.

Dispirito was arrested and charged with vehicular assault, DWI and resisting arrest.
