Some good news for parents struggling to find childcare programs for their kids. On Monday, Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren will join other mayors from across the state in Buffalo for a summit on afterschool and summer activities.

This is the first time leaders from across the state will meet to specifically discuss the issue of afterschool care. Organizers from the SUNY school system and New York State's Afterschool Network will highlight way cities across the state can improve and enrich these programs. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. at the Burchfield Penny Art Center on the SUNY Buffalo State campus.
