His compassion and patience for others goes well beyond his years. That is what one high school senior’s school advisor said about him.
School leaders say Diamante Swift is a talented dancer, who decided to work closely with a student with disabilities to help improve his performance at a school talent show. The student’s dance was in jeopardy, but after receiving help, he became one of the best dancers in the show.
Diamante Swift said, “I was amazed. I was excited, like this is terrific. I felt good about myself. He doesn’t know how good he made other people feel. He made me feel like the stars were shinning bright.”
Swift is a twelfth grader at STEM High School in Rochester.
