National Weather Service issues flash flood watch

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a flash flood watch for Western New York starting at 2 p.m. today.

The watch is for the following counties: Monroe, Livingston, Wayne, Ontario, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Genesee, Niagara, Northern Erie, Orleans, Southern Erie, Wyoming, Allegany and Northern Cayuga.

The flash flood watch will remain in effect until Friday afternoon.
