It is not just Yates County recovering from strong damage Thursday. People in Ontario County had to deal with winds so strong that they blew down buildings and trees.

News10NBC’s Hometown Weather Expert Josh Nichols was in Manchester Wednesday. He said the damage was likely due to a micro burst that carried big winds and big thunderstorms.

There is still plenty of work ahead in Manchester. Tree limbs and branches still need to be broken down on the side of the road on Merrick Circle. Town crews have been very busy.

Driving through Manchester Thursday, News10NBC found neatly stacked logs and branches ready for pickup. Definitely a difference scene for what people were dealing with Wednesday.

There were a lot of close calls, including a chimney that toppled onto a roof and some bricks smashed into the bathroom below. Luckily, no one was hurt. There were no reports of any injuries in Ontario County.

Neighbors say by this weekend, there probably won't be many signs of what happened here Tuesday night.
