National Weather Service issues flash flood warning

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a flash flood warning for Western New York until around 12 p.m.

The warning is for the following counties: Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, Livingston, Wyoming and Allegany.

Excessive rain runoff can result in flooding of small streams. Flooding is also likely in low lying and poor drainage areas. Water levels are rapidly rising on Irondequoit Creek and Allen Creek. Flooding is possible this morning along these creeks in Penfield and Pittsford including Blossom Road, Ellison Park and the area around Panorama Plaza.
