They have been through more than most of us will have to endure in our entire lifetime. This year’s miracle kids were introduced at the annual Golisano Children’s Hospital luncheon.

The miracle kids are Andrew Lagares, who was born with a rare birth defect, but beat the odds; Blake Gauss, who was diagnosed with ALL or acute lymphoblastic leukemia; Chase Ayles, who was born prematurely and only had a 25 percent chance of survival; Katie Foster, who continues to fight cancer and Brynn Taylor, who was born with a complex heart defect.

Dan Taylor said, “We are certainly indebted to them, through the technologies, the skills and the staff. They have saved my daughter's life, not once, but twice. There is really no way to thank a group of people for that. The donations, the charity and the philanthropy that go into this event really do pay off.”

News10NBC  is proud to be a part of such an important event. The miracle luncheon was hosted by Nikki Rudd and Lia Lando. Several businesses, who contribute to the hospital, were honored Friday.

The Golisano Children's Hospital Telethon is June 1 on News10NBC.
