Additional assistance for Yates County after devastating flooding

Additional assistance is available for Yates County after devastating flooding left many homes and businesses destroyed.

The Yates County Office of Emergency Management is coordinating with the Village of Penn Yan and the Town of Jerusalem will have dumpsters available for flood damaged household debris. Penn Yan will have dumpsters available for residents to dump furniture, clothing and carpeting that were ruined in the flood.

Dumpsters will be located at Powell Lane at the following times:

Sunday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Destroyed white goods such as refrigerators, washing machines, etc. can be taken to BB Recycling, 3898 Tinney Road, from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
