Raising awareness for babies that were born too soon, and helping them get the care they need.

On Sunday morning, hundreds of people got up to walk in the “March for Babies,” an event that raises money for premature newborns. Families, companies and people walked with friends to support the cause.

Kristen Opett, chairperson for March for Babies, said this event ensures that premature babies grow up to live healthy, normal lives.

“I think all of us know a baby that was born premature, or those that may have lost babies, and I think our real goal here is to stop that, and all babies will have happy, healthy lives just as my beautiful son has,” said Opett.
