M&T Bank makes donation to Urban League of Rochester's Black Scholars program

The Urban League of Rochester received a $2,500 donation from M&T Bank to support its Black Scholars program.

William Clark, President and CEO of the Urban League of Rochester accepted the check Monday morning.

The program, which was started in 1981, provides recognition, assistance and incentives to students in the Greater Rochester metropolitan area who achieve a cumulative GPA of “B” or better in high school.

In June, the Urban League of Rochester will host its 35th annual Salute to Black Scholars Recognition Dinner where Black Scholars will be celebrated and recognized.
