A Webster tax accountant has pleaded guilty to stealing a person’s identity and bank fraud.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Joseph Muller pleaded guilty to those charges Tuesday.
Prosecutors say Muller stole a client's information and used it to make fake checks which he then used to withdraw money and put in an account he controlled.
Muller faces a maximum of 30 years in federal prison and $1-million fine when he's sentenced in September.
