It has happened again. Another vehicle was hit by something on I-390 near Buffalo Road. Deputies say it was rocks. That’s the same place where a truck driver thought a bullet hit his truck a couple of weeks ago and 390 was shut down for several hours.
A few weeks before that, police shut down another section of 390 in Greece for a similar report. Then last week, cars were damaged on I-490 west near the CSX railroad overpass, west of Mount Read Blvd.
The latest incident has people down right scared to drive on 390 and 490.
Annmarie Torres said, "I was scared driving down here today. It's terrifying. “
The latest incident happened to a driver heading northbound near the Buffalo Road overpass. The same location where a truck driver reported having his back window shot out on May 1 while driving southbound.
Dwayne Davis said, "It's terrible, I don't get it. You're driving."
Deputies say they're still working to find out what happened, but now a total of six vehicles have reported being hit with objects on area highways.
Last Wednesday, police say two vehicles on 490 where struck with BB’s and rocks. Prior to that, three motorists in the Greece/Gates area reported vehicle damage on 390.
Latrell Mosley said, "Pretty scary riding on the expressway not knowing what's going to happen and pretty scary not knowing.”
