A York sex offender is facing more charges after sheriff’s deputies say he failed to register his new address with law enforcement.

William Bertch, 41, of York, is charged with failure to register and verify. Sheriff’s deputies say Bertch moved from his address on May 2 and had not filed a new address with any law enforcement agency. New York State Corrections Law states that sex offenders need to register with the Division of Criminal Justice no later than ten days after any change of address.

Bertch is in the Livingston County Jail without bail. He is being held until his next court appearance.
