Petco to stop selling treats made in China

Created: 05/21/2014 6:33 AM WHEC.com

Petco will stop selling dog and cat treats made in Chin by the end of the year. The move is spurred by concerns that they're making pets sick.
The FDA reports nearly 5,000 pet illnesses and 1,000 dog deaths after eating jerky treats made in China. The agency hasn't identified the source of the illnesses, but Petco says customers are asking the chain to stop selling the treats.
So it's switching to treats made in the U.S., New Zealand, Australia, and South America.
