Facebook releases audio recognition feature

Created: 05/22/2014 1:44 PM WHEC.com

Facebook users who want to share their love of their favorite band or TV show can do so without typing a word.
Facebook is starting to rollout a feature today that uses the microphone on your smartphone to identify the music you're listening to or the TV show you're watching.
As you're typing a status update, you will see an audio icon moving. If Facebook finds a match to what it hears, you will have the option to share it with your friends.
The feature is similar to the Shazam app.
