He says it's time for the state to go in another direction. Thursday, Rob Astorino met with leaders at the Rochester Business Alliance. Astorino is the republican candidate running against Governor Andrew Cuomo.

He made a stop in Rochester and he says his focus is on creating jobs. “We are dead last, fiftieth in all the wrong categories. Worst business climate, the most corruption more people leaving our state them any other. We spend the most on education and we're in the bottom half of results. We can go in a better direction. We're losing as a state and we don't have to be losers anymore.”

Astorino also says if elected he would remove some of the restrictions and requirements placed on businesses by the state.
