The Chili Avenue bridge will partially re-open to traffic Friday morning. News10NBC is told one lane in each direction will re-open at 9 a.m. while additional steel repairs continue.
The state DOT says additional repairs are necessary to restore two lanes in each direction without a weight restriction. When the work is done, which is expected to be in about two to three weeks, the bridge will be “R Posted” which means oversize and/or overweight loads requiring a permit will be restricted.
Motorists should allow extra travel time especially during peak travel times.
