A new library, drama at the Medley Centre, and the opening of I-Square, were just a few of the topics of conversation at Thursday’s Irondequoit State of the Town meeting.
Supervisor Adam Bello gave the speech at Irondequoit Town Hall.
The controversy surrounding the former mall has been a hot topic and Bello said his priorities were to make sure taxpayers wouldn't have to foot the bill, and that the Medley Centre doesn't continue to define Irondequoit.
"There are so many other good things happening here and I-Square is a perfect example of that. We're building one of the largest economic development projects in Irondequoit right down the street here and it's literally transforming the Titus-Hudson-Cooper area," said Bello.
He says there will be two ribbon-cuttings and another groundbreaking at I-Square this year.
