Sales of whiskey increase more than 10%

American-made whiskey is flying off the shelves and distilleries can't keep up with demand.
The Distilled Spirits Council says domestic sales of bourbon and other whiskeys went up more than 10-percent last year. The spike in sales took the industry by surprise and it's not like they can quickly increase production. Quality bourbon takes six to 10 years to make.
While most distilleries don't release supply numbers, Buffalo Trace Bourbon out of Franklin County, Kentucky says it is 100,000 bottles short of where it should be.
