One day after Kimberly and Beck were fired from 98.9 The Buzz (WBZA) for making controversial comments about the City of Rochester offering benefits to transgender employees and their families, another popular, local radio show host could be in hot water too.
Bob Lonsberry's column on the same topic has been pulled. The column was originally posted to WHAM1180.com on Monday but has since disappeared. In the column, Lonsberry calls the plan to extend coverage to transgender people working for the City, “Lovely-care.” He calls it a, "he-she transformation at taxpayer expense."

At an event on Saturday, Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren announced the City would offer transgender health benefits for employees. On Tuesday, radio hosts Kimberly and Beck spoke for more than 10 minutes on topic. They said things that many in the transgender community found hurtful and offense. They pair was suspended Wednesday and were let go yesterday. Today, they issued an apology (Click here to read it).
