A reminder from police on this holiday weekend: law enforcement officials are out in full force to keep an eye out for drunk drivers.

Rochester police and state troopers are teaming up as a part of the Stop DWI Crackdown.

Officials say the goal of this program is to make sure everyone gets to and from their destinations safely.

News10NBC spoke with bar owners about what they do to make sure their customers don’t get behind the wheel under the influence.

“We look out for people that had a drink. We look out for people that may have had a little too much, and we assess the situation. All the people who work here, you know, they know the risks of drinking too much,” said Tom Robson, assistant bar manager at The Old Toad.

The DWI crackdown runs until Tuesday.
