Crews battled with a blaze at a large warehouse in East Rochester on Monday.

The fire started at Despatch Station, a model train store, around 5:15 p.m. on Station Road. Crews worked to put out the flames, but heavy smoke was coming from the building. Emergency crews from several different departments had to be called to control the blaze. The building is being completely torn down.

"This building has been around and has been a landmark in the village for many, many, many years. It's going to be a loss to the village,” said Mike Romach, East Rochester Fire Department.

Officials say no one was injured. They are still looking for the cause of the fire.
