Medley Centre developers have until May 28 to pay fine

It's another deadline for the owners of the Medley Centre.

Bersin Properties has until Wednesday at 5 p.m. to pay a $100,000 fine to the Town of Irondequoit. The owners plead no contest to the violations earlier this month.

The violations came to light after a sprinkler pipe burst in the mall over the winter, causing extensive water damage. That prompted an inspection which resulted in the violations.

This project has received millions of dollars in tax breaks but Monroe County is working to end them after the developers missed several payment deadlines.
