Police: Man breaks into Canandaigua ice cream stand

A 24-year-old Ontario County man is facing charges after police say he broke into an ice cream shop.

Canandaigua Police say Garrett Proctor of Gorham broke into Scoops, an ice cream stand on Lakeshore Drive in Canandaigua, with the intent to steal. He’s charged with burglary and criminal mischief. Proctor is additionally charged with obstructing governmental administration after police say he refused to comply with the arrest process.

Proctor is being held in the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
