Two local students are being honored for doing the right thing. Rayne Webb and Assia Bukuru wanted to hold a school dance, so instead of just organizing a fun event for some of their classmates, they decided to give discount tickets to anyone who donated food items.

In total, the girls were able to collect three boxes of items for the Church of God by Faith pantry.

Rayne Webb said, “I think it's just important to help and just give back overall because there's a lot of people who are struggling in our city and we have one of the highest rates and I feel like it's important because there's kids that like don't eat every night and I feel like that shouldn't be.”

Both girls attend Rochester Early College International. Webb is a senior and Bukuru is a sophomore.
