Two feline friends are better than one

Did you know that June is “Adopt-A-Cat” month?

Rochester’s Verona Street Animal Shelter is joining the American Humane Association in recommending that when you adopt one feline friend, you adopt a second. To help make this possible, Director of Animal Services Chris Fitzgerald said, “We offer ‘Two-Fur-One’ adoptions for cats all year long because we recognize the benefits for the cats and for their adjustment to their new homes.”

During the month of June, the shelter is offering $40 cat adoptions. In addition, on June 7, in celebration of The Fast & The Furriest event, all cat adoptions will be just $20.

The city animal shelter is located at 184 Verona Street. Adoptions can be made between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
