A city man is recovering Saturday morning after he was shot on the city's west side.

Rochester Police say they were called to Frost Avenue near Jefferson Avenue, just before 2 a.m. for a report of a shooting. When offices arrived, they found a 24-year-old man who had been shot in the lower body.

He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say they aren't sure what led up to the shooting at this point and the incident is still under investigation.
